Meet SeedsNow!

SeedsNow organic and non-GMO seeds and vegetable bareroots are my go-to grow-from-scratch goods.  My forays into the world of vegetable gardening are recent, but they’ve been successful and they’ve been characterized by beautifully performing seeds and bareroots from SeedsNow, my affiliate partner.

Greetings, gang.  It’s been more than a little while since I’ve published here on The Renaissance Garden Guy.  As you may know, my personal sitch has been more than just a little dicey recently…

In any event, I’m here today to make a recommendation.  I’m going to show you some pics, and put the good word in for one of my excellent affiliate partners: SeedsNow, purveyors of fine organic and non-GMO seeds and bareroots.  Subscribers and regular readers will have seen their banners here on my site before, and I feel compelled to offer more information about this excellent company, and their wonderful goods, as well.

Admittedly, I’m not a huge grow-’em-from-seed kind of gardener, and I’m not a big fruit and vegetable grower either.  That’s not to say that I haven’t indulged in these activities in the past: I’ve grown asters and a few other varieties of ornamental perennial from seed, and I’ve got a few fruit trees and bushes growing on my land (and producing fruit) that I’d planted several years back.  But my interest in growing healthy vegetables from organic and non-GMO seeds and bareroots really reached full flower, so to speak, this year.

I’d always wanted to grow these organic, non-GMO (and delicious) goodies, but didn’t really know where to start when it came to looking for a good source.  So I lucked out one day earlier this year when I made an offhand comment about organic vegetables to a cashier at, of all places, my favorite local nursery.

Me:  “I think it’d be really cool to grow my own vegetables.  You know, the organic kind.”

Her:  “Have you ever hear of SeedsNow?”

She told me that she grew all of her own vegetables, and that SeedsNow organic and non-GMO seeds and bareroots were what she planted.  She handed me my receipt.  “Dude, I LOVE their stuff!”

When I got home, I googled SeedsNow, and spent a bunch of time on their excellent, easy to use website.  I found that they not only sold organic and non-GMO vegetable seeds and bareroots, but fruit seeds and such, too.  They also had tons of ornamental flower seeds.  The overall selection was amazing.  I also checked out their customers’ reviews and saw that nearly all of them were five stars out of a possible five.  Then I ordered some seeds and bareroots, and waited.

But not for long…

As soon as I placed my order, I got a simple-to-comprehend confirmation email.  Within what seemed like only hours, I got another email from SeedsNow letting me know that my order had shipped; it also contained the shipment tracking link.  Three days later, my order arrived, and I got another email from SeedsNow confirming that my order was delivered.  And wow, what an order!

My SeedsNow Organic and Non-GMO Seeds and Bareroots

First off, my order was beautifully packaged.  Cushioned envelopes and individually labeled, plastic seed packets and individual root bags kept my products safe during delivery, and easily identifiable and accessible upon their arrival.  And not only did SeedsNow send me my organic and non-GMO seeds and bareroots (I ordered artichoke seeds and fabulous asparagus bareroots, plus some ornamental perennial seeds – purple coneflower, in fact), they also sent me some free gifts.  Included in my packages were organic, non-GMO heirloom tomato seeds and bush bean seeds.  Again, these were free gifts.  I will tell you without any compunction whatsoever that the seeds and bareroots I received from SeedsNow were absolutely beautiful – big, healthy, and ready to stick in some dirt.  (And man, did those things grow!!!)  But as happy as I was with the whole SeedsNow order and delivery process, and with the fab products themselves, I think the thing that stood out the most for me was the little, handwritten personal note from the SeedsNow staff, complete with a hand-drawn smiley face and the kindest wishes: “Happy planting, John!!”  That kind of personal touch tells me one whole hell of a lot about a company (I owned two myself, so I know what excellent customer relations are all about).

I was so thrilled with my SeedsNow experience, and with the organic and non-GMO seeds and bareroots I ordered from them, I decided to research the company further and found that they had an affiliate partnership program.  This means that qualified websites can become affiliates of SeedsNow, and advertise their products for a percentage of sales.  The Renaissance Garden Guy was in a perfect position to partner with this excellent company.  Presto!  SeedsNow and The Renaissance Garden Guy became affiliate partners.
